Hat Yai, the cultural crossroads of southern Thailand, is a border city enriched by multiculturalism, has always embraced diversity, weaving together threads of different civilisations with an open heart. Art is a universal language that naturally connects the world, offering an ideal stage for artistic exchange. This international exhibition brings together artists from different regions of the world, presenting a visual feast that transcends cultures and borders through diverse perspectives and unique creative styles.
Hat Yai is a city that blends the warmth of Thai culture, the traditions of Chinese, and the charm of Malay influences. The artworks of this exhibition range from realism to abstraction, from traditional to contemporary styles. They embody the serene depth of oriental ink, the vivid dynamism of western oils, and the vibrant vitality of Southeast Asian art. Each painting not only expresses the personal emotions of the artist but also reflects the dialogue and fusion between different cultures – like a celebration of colours spanning longitudes and latitudes.
Artists from different countries, arrive here with paintbrushes as their vessels, carrying the memories and imagination from their respective cultures, docking in the harbour of this city.
We believe that art requires no translation, and that colours and lines are the most direct expression of emotions.
